A little trust goes a long way.
Curated Connections brings adults together for voluntary social introductions in the Madison, Mississippi area. This policy explains what we collect, who can see it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you apply: your name, email, phone number, age, city, who you’d like to meet and the ages you’d like, your answers to the questionnaire (such as your work, interests, what you’re looking for, family, faith, and lifestyle), an optional photo, optional Instagram and Facebook profiles, how you heard about us, and the agreements you accept.
At and after the evenings: which evenings you’re invited to and attend, who you meet, your private Yes or No after each conversation, notes you write for yourself, the host’s private notes and ratings, anything you choose to share with your matches, and your answers to any surveys.
Your account: your sign-in (your password is stored only as a one-way code), two-step verification if you turn it on, and the names of the browsers you’re signed in on. Payments go through Stripe; we learn whether you paid, never your card number.
Who can see your information
Our admins and organizers review your application and contact details to plan events. Event hosts who help run an evening see your name, age, city, and interests, but not your photo, private answers, or contact details. Other participants see only your first name, age, city, interests, and the introduction you chose to share: in the app when your scheduled meeting becomes available, and on the printed participant bios handed out at your evening.
Notes you write about someone you met are seen by you and your matchmaker (our admins and organizers), to help with future introductions. The person you met never sees them, and event hosts’ screens don’t show them. Notes written before we said so stay private to you. Notes and private questionnaire answers are encrypted in storage; this is not end-to-end encryption. Authorized service administrators can technically access stored records.
Accounts and who can do what
There are four kinds of account. Participants see only their own invitations, introductions, and matches. Event hosts run evenings. Organizers and admins review new applications before they join the pool, plan and run evenings, make introductions, and can review, correct, and export applications; admins also manage accounts and the website. We keep a private record of the evenings you attend, the host’s notes, and your mutual matches to plan future evenings; only admins and organizers can see it. Admin, organizer, and event host accounts must use two-step verification, and you can turn it on for your own account from your account page.
A security log records sign-ins, account changes, and each time staff open, correct, or export private applications, so access can be reviewed. It never includes your answers, notes, passwords, or codes. For the list of devices you’re signed in on we keep only the browser and system name, not your IP address or location. Sign-in attempts are rate-limited using a one-way fingerprint that expires within the hour.
Your choice. A mutual connection.
“Yes” means you’d enjoy another conversation. It is not a commitment to date or communicate. Your email is shared only if both people say yes, both consented to contact sharing, and the organizer closes the event afterward. One-sided choices and “No” responses are never shown to the other person.
After an evening you can choose to share your phone number with that evening’s mutual matches and add an optional photo so they remember you. Both are encrypted in storage and shown only to you and to people you both said yes to, after the event closes. You can change or remove them at any time, but anything a match already saw may remain with them.
To plan future evenings, our admins and organizers can see which evenings you attended, who you met, how many yeses you gave and received, and which introductions became mutual matches once an event closes. Event hosts see none of this. If you use a printed sheet instead of your phone, an admin or organizer enters the choices on it for you, so they see those.
After an evening we may ask you a few questions about it, and later about the people you matched with, such as whether you’ve met since. Answering is optional. Only the organizers see your answers, and nothing you say about someone is ever shown to them. We use them to plan better evenings and introductions.
If you sent a photo with your application, it’s kept encrypted and never made public. Our admins and organizers see it, so they can recognize you when planning and running evenings. It goes with your profile when your matchmaker introduces you to someone one-to-one. The guests at your evenings see it too, on the printed guest sheets and participant bios and beside your conversations in the app, so everyone can recall who they met. It’s never used for promotion. It’s separate from the optional photo you can share with your matches.
Private introductions and your matchmaker
Your matchmaker may share your profile with one other person as a possible match, and theirs with you. It appears only in that person’s private space, with your first name, age, city, work, introduction, interests, what you’re looking for, the qualities you value, family, faith, lifestyle, and your photo. It never includes your last name, email, phone number, social profiles, dealbreakers, or the host’s notes and ratings, and it can be withdrawn at any time.
You can message your matchmaker privately about any match or introduction from your space. Only you and the matchmaking team see those messages; the other person never does.
Being here, respectfully
You must be 18 or older. Treat participants and staff with respect. Do not photograph, record, or share another participant’s personal information without permission. Harassment and unsafe conduct may result in removal from an event. Photo permission is optional and separate from participation.
Introductions do not guarantee compatibility, a relationship, or a particular outcome. The organizer may review applications but does not conduct comprehensive background investigations. Use your own judgment about future contact.
Cookies and your device
We use only what the site needs to work: a cookie that keeps you signed in, a short-lived one during two-step sign-in, and, for staff, one that remembers which view they’re previewing. They can’t be read by other sites or by scripts on the page. Your light or dark choice is saved in your browser, and the app keeps a copy of its offline page so it can tell you when there’s no connection.
On the public pages only (the home page, Upcoming evenings, Apply, Private matchmaking, Dating coaching, Become a matchmaker, and the policies) we use Google Analytics to count visits: which of those pages are viewed, roughly where from, and on what kind of device. It sets its own cookies to tell a returning visitor from a new one. It never sees what you type into a form, and it never runs on your account, your evening, or any staff page. Google’s advertising features and signals are turned off, so none of it is used to show you ads, and there are no advertising cookies. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, it doesn’t run at all; tracking protection or Google’s opt-out add-on blocks it too, and the site works the same.
Payments and service providers
Payments are processed on Stripe’s hosted checkout when enabled. This application does not receive or store card numbers. Hosting and database providers process application data to operate this service. No application answers or private notes are sent to an AI provider. Pairing suggestions use your stated meeting preferences and shared interests.
Updating or removing your information
Contact curatedconnectionsxo@gmail.com to correct your application, change photo permission, request account deletion, or ask about privacy. The organizer must verify ownership before making changes. Once mutually shared, another participant may retain contact information they already received.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions about it are always welcome at the address above. How we make the site work for everyone is in our accessibility statement.
About this version
This is the initial application preview. The participant agreement is shown when you apply or accept an invitation; you sign it online from your private space before the evening, or on paper at check-in. An emergency contact you give is encrypted and reaches only your hosts for that evening. Final retention periods, refund terms, and the production privacy notice must be set before accepting real participants or payments.
